North Shore Marine Terminal & Logistics, Inc. is a small Michigan-based business that operates a full-service marine logistics and transportation company on the northwest shore of Lake Michigan. The company has been in operation since 2014 and is located at the former Basic Marine shipyard in Escanaba, which has been in use since 1979.

 

Our team is composed of highly skilled professionals who have years of experience in the marine logistics industry. We offer a wide range of services including cargo handling, vessel berthing, storage facilities, marine construction, repair, and dredging.

 

Our sister company, Basic Towing, specializes in ice breaking, launch assistance, and specialty hauls. We have three 1260' long seawalls and a 450' long deep water port to offer cargo loading and unloading services and moorage. Our heavy lift dock can handle bulk cargo as well as ocean-going, internationally-flagged cargo ships. Stevedoring services are provided by our personnel. We cater to businesses and organizations that require marine construction, repair, and dredging services on the northwest shore of Lake Michigan.

 

Our main clients are in the professional boating industry with large boats. We have the capability to load and unload heavy lift equipment at customers' docks and at our locations in Escanaba and Menominee, Michigan. Additionally, we have beach loading capability and can provide heavy lift equipment for loading and unloading at customers' docks.
